CONFERENCE FACILITIES

The conference is based at a field study centre which has been built around a delightful Queen Anne country house, next to the river Severn and set in 12 hectares of grassland and woodland.  There will be facilities for posters, club stands and trade stands.

The main conference programme of talks will run on the Saturday and Sunday, with a series of surface and underground trips from Friday lunchtime until at least the Wednesday of the following week, for those wishing to extend their stay.  It is hoped to re-run some of the field trips during the week to allow attendance at talks without missing underground trips.

ACCOMMODATION

There is on-site accommodation for 120 persons and also camping facilities.  Space will be available for those staying on during the following week.  The rooms are in various configurations from twin to small dormitories.

MEALS

There is a dining room on site that can provide breakfast and lunch if required.  A simple meal will be available on Friday night, a conference dinner will be held on the Saturday evening and a special event on the Sunday evening is to be hosted by the Shropshire Caving & Mining Club in celebration of its 50th anniversary.  There is a bar that will be open at lunchtime and in the evenings.
